Why Freedom Box Exists

In 2019 I spent an entire Saturday driving between four stores looking for a water bottle that wouldn't crack within a few months and a cutting board that wasn't already warping in its packaging. Everything sturdy enough to trust cost nearly triple what it should have. Everything in my price range fell apart within weeks. I went home with nothing and a receipt for gas.

That frustration became Freedom Box. We buy directly from the same factories that supply the big retailers, then cut out the layers of distributor markup that usually get added before an item reaches a shelf. Every new product spends months in our own kitchens, garages, and gym bags before it's allowed on the site — if it doesn't hold up for us, it doesn't go up for sale. Prices are set from what something actually costs to make well, not from what a shopper might be willing to pay.

We're still a small team, and we still test everything ourselves before it ships to you. If a product stops meeting that bar, we pull it — no matter how well it sells.
